Most Abu Dhabi holiday home operators can ignore the emirate’s new healthy-food rules. The Department of Culture and Tourism (DCT Abu Dhabi), together with the Abu Dhabi Agriculture and Food Safety Authority (ADAFSA), will require tourism-licensed food and beverage outlets to offer healthier menu options with calorie and allergen transparency, effective 1 October 2026. Holiday homes are self-catering and do not run licensed F&B outlets, so they sit outside the rule. Only operators who run licensed in-house dining are in scope.
