Airbnb’s host-only fee takes effect October 13, 2026, moving all EEA accounts to a mandatory 15.5% commission model. The split-fee model (where guests paid a separate commission) disappears entirely. For STR hosts, this means your taxable rental income is now the gross booking amount before Airbnb deducts its fee, not the net payout you receive.
