Airbnb Limits Host Contracts, ID Copies, Chores From 20 Nov

The 20 November cut-over follows the date a guest books, not the date they stay. Separate contracts, ID copies, WiFi sign-ins, off-site review requests and checkout chores each need an exception or a rewrite.

Airbnb’s new house rules policy applies to every reservation booked on or after 20 November 2026, and it narrows what a home host can ask a guest to sign, hand over, install or do. Separate contracts, ID copies, required third-party apps for entry, WiFi sign-ins, off-site review requests and checkout chores all need an exception or a rewrite. Reservations booked before that date stay under the previous policy (Airbnb Help Center, article 4169).
