Ignore an order after a warning and the Consell can bill €500–€5,000 a day on top of the sanction, then refer the file to the Fiscalía, with reasons, after two notified liquidations.

Since 14 June 2026, Balearic tourism authorities can fine an illegal tourist rental €500 to €5,000 for every day it fails to comply with an order after a formal warning. After at least two notified liquidations of those fines, the competent body must refer the file to the Fiscalía (the prosecution service), with reasons (art. 128 bis.6). The Consell de Mallorca says it will start using that route this autumn (Última Hora, 15 Sep 2026).
