CDMX extends Airbnb registration to Dec 2026
Mexico City extends the host registration deadline to December 2026 as hundreds of legal challenges to the 183-night limit play out.
OTA Policy Radar
Mexico City (CDMX) has extended the deadline for Airbnb hosts to register their properties to December 2026, giving operators several more months to comply with the city’s short-term rental rules. The original 30-day registration window announced in May 2026 was extended due to an “influx of requests” and the diversity of individual property cases. Hosts must register under the Estancias Turísticas Eventuales (ETE) scheme or face enforcement.
