Hospitable Protect: US Damage Insurance, Booking.com VAT
Hospitable's 6 November release adds host-paid Guest Damage Insurance for US primary users, counts VAT or GST in Booking.com payouts, and lets Direct hosts switch off the review email.
Stack Radar
Hospitable’s 6 November 2026 release adds Hospitable Protect, a new navigation section where US primary users can set up Guest Damage Insurance, a host-paid policy with contents coverage from $1,500 to $25,000. It is US-only. The release also counts VAT or GST on Booking.com commission and payment fees in reservation financials (checkouts from 2 September 2026), and adds an on/off switch for the Direct review email. If you added manual tax transactions to Booking.com reservations, review them now to avoid double counting.
