Billy Karidis is co-founder of GuestCharge, a UK-built EV charging billing platform designed for short-term rental and holiday let operators. He leads the commercial side of the business, working with hosts, agencies, charger manufacturers and industry bodies on how guest EV charging gets billed fairly and compliantly. His focus is the practical and regulatory side of EV charging in short-term rentals: how Ofgem's resale rules and UK metering law apply to holiday lets, what operators actually need to stay compliant, and how to make guest billing simple enough that it just works. He writes to help operators get ahead of regulation while it's still cheap and easy to prepare for, rather than scrambling once enforcement bites. Outside work, Billy is a keen triathlete and water sports enthusiast, usually found running, riding or in the sea somewhere along the UK coast.
