Italy Adopts a National Short-Term Rental Notification Form

Every Comune must align its notification form within 60 days; press says it covers non-entrepreneurial lets only. Owners get no new deadline, but press says the form carries building-compliance declarations you must be able to back up.

Italy now has one national notification form for short-term lets. On 1 October 2026 the Conferenza Unificata concluded agreement Rep. atti n. 122/CU between the Government, the Regions and local authorities, adopting the “Comunicazione di inizio attività per locazione breve/turistica”. Owners get no new deadline of their own. The clock runs on administrations: Regions and Comuni must update their forms, and that includes the Comune di Como.
