Paris STR Fines on Track for €4M in 2026

Paris STR fines are compounding: €1.3M in 2024, €2.4M in 2025, and nearly €1M in Q1 2026 alone. A new 150-agent brigade now hunts unlicensed listings, shrinking the illegal supply that undercut compliant operators.

Paris is closing the enforcement gap on illegal short-term rentals, and the effect is a shrinking pool of unlicensed supply. Fines collected by the city climbed from €1.3M in 2024 to €2.4M in 2025, and Q1 2026 alone brought in roughly €1M, putting Paris on track to clear €4M for the year (Jacques Baudrier, Deputy Mayor for Housing, 17 Apr 2026). A 150-person enforcement brigade approved by the Conseil de Paris now backs that trajectory.
