Vrbo 12% Commission: The Fine Print Before Oct 29
Vrbo's Help Center says the 12% includes payment processing, while taxes and deposits carry a separate 3% fee. Parity and off-platform booking details are still secondary-reported.
OTA Policy Radar
Vrbo’s flat 12% commission starts on 29 October 2026, and its Help Center says the rate is “all-in”, including payment processing. Before that date, confirm in writing how processing is treated on your account and check the parity wording in your terms. Partners in some regions who already pay more than 12% are unaffected (Short Term Rentalz, 30 September 2026; Lodgify, 2 October 2026). The parity clause in the new Host Terms is known only through secondary reporting. Our earlier post, Vrbo to double host commissions and slash guest fees, covers the move to 12%. This one covers the fine print.
