This level of automation requires flawless technological infrastructure. Machines must be able to interact with each other without friction. Prices, availability, and cancellation policies must be read and processed in fractions of a second by large language models.

For property managers, this means that optimizing your website only for humans is no longer sufficient. If a virtual assistant encounters technical difficulties reading your direct booking system’s availability or cannot correctly interpret house rules due to confusing descriptions, it will discard your apartment in favor of a more technologically accessible competitor.
The real challenge for capturing direct bookings in the coming months will be ensuring that your management software and booking engine speak the language of AI fluently.
