Florence Signs Labour Protocol for STR Cleaning Staff
Managers who join the 20 October protocol take on supplier vetting, adequate contract prices and a 15-day union table, on top of a lapse rule that already exists.
Regulation Radar
On 20 October 2026 the Comune di Firenze, the unions Cgil, Cisl and Uil, and the managers’ association Associazione Italiana Gestori Affitti Brevi (AIGAB) signed a protocol on working conditions for short-term-rental service staff. If you manage Florence apartments, expect to know your cleaning and laundry suppliers, check their contributions and pay, and price contracts so they can cover labour costs. The protocol sits next to a municipal-regulation rule that already lapses an authorisation over irregular labour (FirenzeToday, 20 Oct 2026). Whether the protocol’s duties bind every manager or only adherents is [unconfirmed].
