The Ayuntamiento de Madrid closed 323 illegal tourist flats and imposed €3.5 million in fines during 2025, the first full year of Plan RESIDE enforcement. Inspections more than doubled, sanctions rose 27%, and the City initiated over 600 restoration-of-legality proceedings.
